The four ski areas of Gastein offer a good variety of runs for every age and ability - from family runs to high alpine slopes for pros. Special highlights are the "Gastein Skisafari" (every Monday) and every Thursday a guest ski race on the "Schlossalm" in Bad Hofgastein. And every Wednesday you are invited to conclude your skiing day in a unique way with night skiing (floodlit) on the Bucheben-slope in Bad Gastein.
In addition, the Gastein Valley is a member of the "Skiwelt Amadé" - with over 860 km of well-groomed slopes and 270 lifts and cable cars one of the largest and most attractive ski regions in Austria - access to all areas with just 1 pass.
And if you have never been on skis or on a snowboard before or you if want to perfect your skills, you can employ the services of one of our two ski schools ("Schneesportschule" or "Schlossalmskischule") where qualified instructors will professionally take care of you.

Schlossalm - Angertal - Stubnerkogel

The ski area "Schlossalm - Angertal - Stubnerkogel" offers a great diversity and carving fun for every ability and age. Enjoy the largest connected ski area in Gastein, perfectly linked up with modern ski lifts and slopes. The fantastic ski-run down from the "Hohe Scharte" is widely popular. With a length of about 8 km and a vertical drop of 1440 m, it is one of the longest runs in the Eastern Alps and leads directly past the Pyrkerhof.
For beginners, there is a spacious exercise park at the "Judaulift in Angertal" and an exercise ski lift adjacent to the lift station "Schlossalm". Action and fun for freestylers ..... that is the slogan of the new Snowpark Gastein on the "Stubnerkogel"
Sportgastein
1590 - 2650 m above sea level
From powder snow to firn snow - the high alpine locality Sportgastein on the fringe of the National Park is the place where sporty Gastein-holydaymakers feel at home. From early December until early May skiing dreams come true on mogul slopes and deep powder fields.
Graukogel
1079 - 2007 m above sea level
Already 1958, the Ladies Alpine Ski World Championship was held here. Today, the Graukogel is a challenge for top skiers. Woody slopes- protected from the wind - provide finest skiing conditions!
Dorfgastein - Großarltal
