Located in Bad Gastein, Bad Hofgastein and Dorfgastein, the Gastein Motion Arena is a real fitness paradise.

11 routes (named after famous Austrian winter athletes) of varying difficulty and height profiles with a total length of 120 km give the dynamic holidaymaker excellent opportunities for fitness activities. It is an ideal fitness-course for every age and condition and offers the chance to weave the energetic activity of your children into a fantastic holiday experience.

Cycling and Mountain Biking

Get pleasure from this natural paradise when cycling gently through the valley or making a tour on one of the challenging mountain bike trails passing many alpine huts where you can enjoy fresh local specialities and genuine hospitality. You also have the opportunity to join a guided bicycle or mountain bike tour.

Golf

The newly constructed 18-hole golf course, surrounded by breathtaking mountain scenery guarantees a pleasurable challenge for every handicap. Hilly lines and planes

The interplay between hilly fairways and flat ones, hillside holes and gentle fairways makes this golf course a varied and entertaining enjoyment. Mature trees, many small mountain streamlets and the dense lowland forest add to an unforgettable experience beyond sports. The altitude of the golf course assures pleasant temperatures also during the hot summer months.

For a change, another 13 golf courses in Salzburg are within a distance of one hour by car.

Paragliding and hang gliding

The Gastein Valley offers a variety of launch sites and excellent thermal conditions for experiencing the magnificent mountain scenery quite differently from bird’s eye view.
If you would like to experience what it's like flying a paraglider, a tandem flight is the perfect way to get you airborne after preparatory instructions.

The new crag in Bad Gastein with its fixed rope route, flying fox and slackline provides an ideal training opportunity for professionals and offers climbing lessons for beginners.
Or how about Archery in Angertal, miniature golf, bowling, curling and panning for gold? 36 tennis courts (30 outdoor and 6 indoor courts, one of them a squash court) provide an ample variety for tennis enthusiasts. The scooter tour from the top station to the middle station of the “Schlossalm” cable car is an action-packed and amusing experience. Passionate horse riders will find their cloud nine on the Icelandic stable “Oberhaitzinggut” - the perfect starting point for either a few blissful hours in the saddle or longer horse riding tours.
